PTS helps the Surrey School improve network security and protect against malware through proactive cyber-security software.


Due to its ability to avoid detection by traditional anti-virus software, the current generation of malware poses a particular threat. Aware of the risks, the School invited PTS to assist with the review and selection of solutions available. 

During his research, the school's IT Manager discovered Heimdal Security, a proactive cyber-security software solution which would enable the school to locate any malware on its network and promptly remove it. PTS supported the school's decision to choose the software which also offers additional benefits. Its ability to automatically update patching provides the school with better protection from threats. Patching occurs silently in the background, requiring no intervention. Additionally, should a device not be connected to the network when a patch is released, the patch will be applied as soon as the device re-connects. With the IT Team managing over 400 devices, the software enables the school to save considerable amounts of money and time. 

Small IT Teams can be overwhelmed when trying to keep up with the rapidly changing cyber-security landscape. With a more proactive cyber-security software installed, the School's IT team can now operate more efficiently in an environment that is better proacted against threats including second-generation malware.
