PTS keeps Sheltair Flying as Hurricane Irma makes landfall
When a category-5 hurricane threatens your Data Centre, who do you call? Aviation Company, Sheltair, engaged PTS Managed Services to help implement and execute a business continuity plan and disaster recovery plan as Hurricane Irma headed towards its Florida Data Centre.
With the aviation company playing a key role in recovery operations and with foreign dignitaries due to arrive at JFK International airport for the United Nations General Assembly, it was essential that the company could operate as normal. PTS worked extensively with Sheltair’s management and employees to transfer technical services to the PTS private cloud and ensued user access for Sheltair’s point of sale and flight operations 24-hours before the Hurricane Irma made landform.
W. Kroppel, COO of Sheltair commented: “It was critical to our business that Sheltair’s applications and platforms have the redundancy and resiliency required should a business continuity scenario need to be executed such as a natural disaster.”
