Senior Program Analyst, Boston (Contract)

Please note, that this is for a contract role.
About this Role and the Skills Required:
This role supports the planning and execution of multiple programs and projects, requires a strong user focus, and is accountable for schedule and quality of all program elements.
You’ll partner with program sponsors, managers, and project managers to plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs while maintaining focus on implementing the right things, at the right time, and with the highest levels of quality.
You will also be required to perform program analysis, manage risks, identify and influence necessary course corrections, creatively solve problems, and communicate program status and activities across multiple levels of management.
The Senior Program Analyst will also need to continuously assess and improve the IT Program and Portfolio Management processes and mentor/coach other members of the IT PMO.
Complete the Program Definition Report
Provide content and insight for management reports
Represent the program governance on the Program Governance Board
Report on performance to the six Program Objectives
Maintain the project framework with integrated standards, policies and model, practices
Ensure Track objectives are coordinated with Program Objectives within schedule and budgets
Identify and escalate any divergence from Program Objectives
Identify and escalate track interdependencies are identified and escalated
Identify and agree with the Client Program Manager mitigation of risks to track objectives regarding quality and timeline
Act as a central point for issue escalation
Ensure Deliverables (management products) continue to conform with the SoW and established quality
Identify and promptly escalate any divergence from program objectives to the Program Governance Board
Complete the Program Completion Record
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
5 - 7 years of experience managing complex, cross-functional programs and projects.
Experience in managing the implementation of IT Infrastructure, application development/integration projects.
Proven ability to drive consensus keeping business goals at the center of negotiations.
Outgoing, highly organized, persistent, and tenacious; able to deal with uncertainty and change.
Self-starter, inquisitive and able to quickly understand new processes, methodologies and systems.
Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for programs and projects.
Experience leading a team of creative professionals in a studio-style technical program office
Familiarity with MS Project
Interested in building new program processes
Motivated to support and coach project managers and project coordinators
Have project, program or change management credentials preferred but also wiliness to pursue will be considered.
Willing to gain familiarity with PTS Consulting program management methods
