Technical Project Manager, Boston



PTS is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join the team in Boston. You’ll be involved with the cross-organizational lifecycle initiatives migrating multiple application stacks from legacy infrastructure to current technology and managing application code remediation activity. Ideally, the role would suite someone with previous experience in the financial section and holds a PMP qualification or the equivalent. Application re-platforming project experience and experience working on global projects would also be advantageous.

Please note that this is a contract role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Setting specific project level objectives

  • Creating and managing the detailed project plan utilizing Program Office standards

  • Creating the detailed project plans per project in MS Project

  • Tracking progress against the plan through structured meetings with project participants

  • Overseeing detailed Application Discovery for Application and/or Track Remediation

  • Identifying any additional Workstreams that require separate plans and processes

  • Identifying and escalating Track inter-dependencies

  • Identifying and reporting any project level Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies

  • Publishing all project artefacts to SharePoint

  • Ensuring each Track meets objectives to keep the projects within timeframe and budgets and identifying and escalating any divergence from project objectives

  • Creating application/track or workstream RAIDC Log

  • Reporting project milestone performance to the Program Office

  • Facilitating regular project meetings at Application Project level

  • Creating Change Schedule for Master Schedule

  • Completing the Project Completion Record and lessons learned for projects under management

Skills and Qualifications Required:

The following skills and experience are ideal for this role:

  • Experience working with a fast-paced technology project

  • The capability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close on multiple cross-organisational IT projects concurrently

  • A proven track record of project delivery

  • Ability to manage challenging stakeholders diplomatically

  • 5+ years in project management roles

  • Knowledge of IT project life-cycles

  • Excellent written an oral communication skills
